We are more than your average tour operator, we are a business that was established because of a dream. Our director, Blazenka Cvorak, migrated from Croatia to Australia in 1970 by ship which took 6 long weeks. Being only 19 when she migrated, she missed her family dearly. It was a dream for Blazenka to be able fly back to Croatia and see her family whenever she could. She started a family of her own, and once her children were off to school she wanted to get back into work. Blazenka followed her dream and was given the opportunity to work in a travel agency as a book keeper, and within 10 months found herself actually running the office. Blazenka soon realised many other Croatian’s also missed their family’s and as the airline industry evolved, Croatian’s started to travel back home to visit their family’s more regularly. Over the years Blazenka’s business kept expanding and so she made the decision to branch out on her own. Over the years clients started to travel to Croatia almost yearly, so Blazenka also started to sell her clients Car Hire, which then grew to accommodation, tours and cruises, which then lead her to expanded into wholesale.

I began my career in the Travel Industry over 35 years ago, as a Personal Assistant / Bookkeeper at St. Marys Travel. Within 12 months I progressed to consulting and Managing the office. In 1983 I relocated to Wonderland Travel in Blacktown, it was here that I pursued my passion in the Croatian Market. After 14 years of working in the office I built a large VFR market, I had 2 staff members of my own and took up half of the office, at this point I decided to start up on my own and in 1997 I opened Adriatic Adventures Travel & Tours.
Now as a hands-on Managing Director, I have a thorough understanding of business principles and clear knowledge of my clients’ requirements.
I have an enviable track record in the industry, having led the Agency to many awards over the past 18 years. I am committed to the team, delivering our clients quality of knowledge and experience. Over the past 35 years I have established strong relationships with all my clients, they and I feel that we are good friends. I give my clients my complete and utter devoted attention and help them in a variety of areas. I have experienced Senior Consultants who are trained to achieve nothing less than excellence, and will go to extraordinary lengths to achieve the best result for their clients.
My specialised travel destination is Croatia, but we also sell travel worldwide.
For many years my agency has also support the local community sporting clubs and schools with fundraising events.
Sandy has been in the travel industry for over 24 years, Sandy has worked in the retail and consolidation sectors throughout her career, although her main role is accounts management she also brings a variety of roles to Adriatic Adventures such as ensuring the office and office equipment are running smoothly and assists with clients when required.
